Everything You Need to Know About the Byborg AI Hackathon

It’s a 24-hour competition where teams of 3-5 participants create innovative AI solutions centered around this year’s theme, Media Morphosis: Unleash the magic of AI!
  • Date: March 7, 2025
  • Time: Starts at 10:00 AM
  • Location: Byborg HQ, 1101 Budapest, Expo tér 5-7
Anyone aged 18 and above with a passion for AI is welcome! Teams must consist of 3 to 5 members.
Registration begins on January 22, 2025, at byborg.ai. With limited spots available, it’s best to sign up early. The registration period ends on February 16, 2025. You will be notified about your acceptance after you register.
Bring your laptop and your creative mindset. We’ll provide everything else, including:
  • Wi-Fi access and wired internet
  • VM with SSH access (its specification will be announced later)
  • Food and drinks throughout the event

Here are the key criteria we will use to evaluate the projects created during the competition. These aspects aim to ensure a fair and comprehensive assessment of each team’s work, focusing on creativity, technical execution, and overall presentation.

Creativity, Innovation & Usefulness
The originality and practicality of the project, focusing on how well it addresses a real-world use case and engages users.

Technical Implementation
The overall quality of the technical implementation. The focus is on how functional and well-structured the code is, the robustness of the architecture, and the effective integration of AI tools and connecting customization layers.

Scalability and Feasibility
The potential for the project to grow into a fully developed application while being realistic to maintain with reasonable resources.

Micro Conversations
The team’s responsiveness and communication to the jury during the 24-hour challenge.

Final Presentation
How clear and effective the final presentation was in explaining the project solution.

Convenient parking options are available around the building. In addition to street parking, nearby parking lots provide secure spaces for your vehicle.

For those arriving by public transport, Byborg Budapest HQ is a short 10-15 minute walk from either Puskás Ferenc Stadion or Pillangó utca.

By bicycle:

Bicycle racks are conveniently located near the entrance for those who choose to arrive by bike.
